Although atypical climatic conditions in January and February impacted the retail dynamics of vision correction across the region, a significant improvement in customer activity was already observed in March, allowing the quarter to close on an upward note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Financial Performance and Investments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3 wp-block-paragraph\">The first quarter results confirm the group&#8217;s financial stability and its ability to generate a positive cash flow even amid seasonal challenges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4\"><strong>Revenue:<\/strong> OCV&#8217;s first-quarter revenue reached <strong>EUR 9.75 million<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5\"><strong>EBITDA<\/strong>: The trailing 12-month EBITDA reached <strong>EUR 2.5 million<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6\"><strong>Cash<\/strong>: During the quarter, cash position increased by <strong>EUR 421 thousand<\/strong>, ending the period at <strong>EUR 4.5 million<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7\"><strong>Capital Expenditures<\/strong>: In the first three months of the year, OCV invested over <strong>EUR 371 thousand<\/strong>, which was directed toward establishing new optics salons, investing in new business lines, and upgrading medical and technological equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Strategic Events and Development Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9 wp-block-paragraph\">In Q1 2026, several significant projects were implemented, establishing a solid foundation for the OCV group&#8217;s long-term growth and service diversification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-10 wp-block-paragraph\">Establishment of the new ENT clinic \u201cLORENT\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-11 wp-block-paragraph\">In cooperation with the leading otolaryngologist Dr. med. R\u016bdolfs J\u0101nis V\u012bksne and the healthcare service platform \u201cMeDi Group\u201d, OCV is a co-founder in the establishment of the new clinic \u201cLORENT\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-12\"><strong>Investments and participation<\/strong>: The initial project investment is EUR 2.5 million, with OC VISION holding a 10.6% stake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-13\">The clinic will <strong>provide full-cycle ear, nose, and throat (ENT) healthcare<\/strong>\u2014from precise diagnostics and specialist consultations to modern surgical operations\u2014all in one place<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-14\">\u201cLORENT\u201d will also act as a <strong>competence centre<\/strong> and strategic partner for four Vision Express hearing centres in Latvia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-15 wp-block-paragraph\">Expansion and optimization of the optics network<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-16 wp-block-paragraph\">To enhance customer service and efficiency, OCV made strategic changes to its retail network:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-17\">The renovated VIZIONETTE optics store opened its doors in the Riga shopping centre &#8220;Domina Shopping&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-18\">The Vision Express store was successfully relocated within the Kaunas &#8220;Akropolis&#8221; shopping centre, introducing the brand&#8217;s latest interior concept<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-19\">The Vision Express store in the Riga shopping centre &#8220;Mols&#8221; was closed due to the initiation of the shopping centre\u2019s reconstruction. Its reopening in a new format is planned after 2028<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-20 wp-block-paragraph\">OPPTICA Rebrands as MEDICCA and expands operations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-21 wp-block-paragraph\">The wholesaler of ophthalmic equipment and products, OPPTICA, has initiated a rebranding to MEDICCA. This rebranding reflects the expansion of the company&#8217;s business scale. Moving forward, MEDICCA will offer premium equipment not only to the optics and ophthalmology sectors but also to other medical segments, especially surgery, ENT, gynaecology, and dentistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-22 wp-block-paragraph\">A significant step in this direction is the newly concluded exclusive partnership with <strong>ATMOS MedizinTechnik<\/strong> \u2013 a leading German medical technology manufacturer, particularly in the fields of medical suction systems, ENT, and gynaecology equipment.
